Work experience

06/2022 β€”Β now

Datango GmbH (PRE-A)

Senior Software engineer (full-time, office)

β€” Led the migration of a legacy jQuery-based frontend to React. Designed a hybrid architecture that unifies both versions into a single application, enabling gradual migration of individual sections. Acted as frontend lead (with 3 additional FE developers), managing development processes, supporting planning and prioritization, and collaborating closely with the design team. Together with the backend team, implemented shared routing and authentication across both frontend versions

β€” Maintained and updated the existing frontend codebase: fixed bugs, implemented security improvements (XSS, CSP), added new features. Worked on user-generated content filtering (HTML sanitization), added security headers and content policies, fixed layout issues, and improved responsiveness for mobile devices

β€” Independently designed and implemented several parts of the application, including the login page, desktop app landing page, and admin configuration pages

β€” Supported the AutoQA team and maintained existing E2E tests written in Java with TestNG

β€” Introduced unit testing to the project using Vitest, integrated it into the development pipeline, and conducted internal workshops to train team members on the new testing framework

β€” Developed a new E2E testing framework based on Playwright, integrated it into the development pipelines, and supported the AutoQA team in designing a flexible test architecture and migrating legacy E2E tests

β€” Maintained outdated jQuery plugins used in the legacy part of the application, adding internal patches to fix bugs and address security issues when no modern alternatives were available

β€” Worked on performance improvements: used virtual list libraries for large non-paginated datasets, optimized Webpack and Vite builds, improved loading and structure of static assets, and identified bottlenecks in legacy code

β€” Implemented a license page generator using OSS Review Toolkit, Node.js, Nunjucks, and Jenkins. Configured it once per project, enabling automatic license page generation for every release.

β€” Improved RTL (right-to-left) language support in the web UI

β€” Assisted with hiring for the frontend team and conducted technical interviews with candidates

Technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, ReduxToolkit, CSS, SASS, playwright, vite, vitest, webpack, jQuery, Bootstrap, Figma, Java, TestNG, git.

HFTON β€’ Telegram Mini App

Core Engineer (freelance)

β€” Led the development of the application and set up the entire infrastructure (Firebase, Heroku, Vercel, Cloudflare, Sentry, Telegram API)

β€” Designed the project architecture and delivered the MVP, covering backend, database, frontend, and infrastructure

β€” Developed and launched the project from scratch (20K+ MAU at launch), including authentication, daily in-game tasks with coins, user balance, referral system, and server-validated user quests (subscriptions, ad interactions)

β€” Developed a Telegram bot for user authentication

β€” Improved and optimized graphics (integrated TinyPNG, custom font set, redesigned layouts)

β€” Optimized the web app for mobile devices and ensured performance and caching stability during traffic spikes

β€” Created a Telegram-based admin bot to monitor external infrastructure

β€” Integrated analytics and monitoring tools

β€” Built a developer-friendly environment and configured tooling for future engineering work

Technologies: TypeScript, React, zustand, nodejs, fastify, CSS/SASS, grammY framework.

Infrastructure: Google Firebase, heroku, vercel, cloudflare, sentry, Telegram API, Google Analytics.

TangoMe β€’ tango.me

Senior Frontend developer & UI/UX Designer (full-time)

β€” Maintained the front-end for tango.tech: added white/dark theme support, adapted layout for responsive design, and fixed minor bugs

β€” Designed and developed the front-end for game.tango β€” a cookie-clicker-style game created for the Mobius conference: prepared the design in Figma, created most pixel assets, and implemented frontend layout and JavaScript logic

Technologies: pure JavaScript, CSS, React, NextJS, Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, git.

09/2019 β€”Β 11/2021

VK β€’ vk.com

Senior Full-stack developer & UI/UX Designer (full-time)

β€” Designed and developed the frontend of an internal bug tracker for the VK Testers community: created new sections (profiles, achievements, guilds), reworked checklist pages and navigation, and refactored frontend components

β€” Built a landing page on Readymag to present the VK Testers program for a conference event

β€” Actively interacted with users of the platform and fixed UI issues based on user feedback

β€” Developed internal tools for data collection and statistics (frontend + backend)

β€” Created a bot to coordinate group call testing: it collected applications from test group members, created chat/call rooms, and included an admin panel, stats tracking, and load monitoring

β€” Led the design for major events (e.g., VK Testrun, Testers Awards), including posters, banners, and merch

β€” Designed assets for community groups (news posts, shop visuals, conference materials)
